A road and rail junction village
Milford's own railway station and its position at the junction of several main roads helped it grow well beyond its early medieval footprint, and it now carries a wider range of shops and everyday amenities than most of the smaller places around it. A bypass built for the A3 in the 1990s took through-traffic away from the village centre.
Church and countryside
St John the Evangelist Church stands on Church Road in the heart of the village, while the western part of Milford's parish reaches into the Surrey Hills National Landscape. Smaller hamlets including Enton Green, Hydestile, Sandhills, Brook and Wormley all sit within the same wider parish as Milford.
